I have read the essay that you wrote. I must say that I agree with you. Today members of the adult population truly underestimate the abilities of our youth and their critical thinking ability. Most adults today are in denial and find it hard to accept that today's young people are aware of what occurs on a daily basis in our society. It is time to trust our children more, in my humble opinion. If one is confident that they have properly raised their children, at some point it is necessary to allow them the freedom in which to demonstrate their abilities. It is obvious that you have been raised with all the armor which will allow you to reach your fullest potential. I have no doubt that you will be one of the many young people who will take the next century by surprise! It has been said, "And a little child shall lead them!" I believe this to be true. You and other young people I've had the pleasure of meeting are demonstrating the understanding needed in order to truly bring about change..... Remember this quote: "The kite of success rises against the winds of adversity, not with it!!!!!" Peace :) |
