Crofton Online asked Gayle Powell to comment on the investigation of President Clinton. [EDITOR'S NOTE: The interview was conducted before Mr. Clinton's recent address to the nation.] She responded, "How many millions of taxpayer dollars have we spent on this investigation and we found out that he lied and cheated on his wife, and we knew that before we elected him." She added that she thinks we "are losing our privacy in this country." We then proceeded to invade her privacy a bit, asking her about her tastes in music and movies. Gayle Powell plays the violin and piano, "badly," she says, but she "enjoys it." She told us that she studied opera in college, but also likes classical music, rock and roll, country, jazz, and bluegrass. She sings in her church's choir. On the subject of movies, Powell says that she dislikes violence, preferring upbeat romances. She became excited as she told us that her favorite movies of all time are the Star Wars movies. She knew the exact date [May 21] for the planned release of the first in the new Star Wars series. |
