Arundel Internet Users Group Forming

Are you fed up with slow Internet access, while areas all around us seem to get the latest high speed - and low cost - connections? Have you ever wondered why Jones Communications always seems to be the LAST with innovative technology?

Are you concerned about privacy issues on the net? Are you worried about protecting free speech, but also want to know how to shield your children from the raunchier stuff available online?

Do you have technical questions, or just need some help in getting a web page up?

Click here for details about how you can join and help organize the Arundel Internet Users Group. There is no cost and all 'meetings' will be online.

More Reader Feedback
We devoted most of our last issue to a forum for our readers. One man felt very strongly that our political coverage has been inappropriate. To read our response, or to review his complaint, click here.

This month, we continue to publish our readers' comments, including one from a journalist in Poland who included an 'American' joke which may reflect how our society is viewed around the world. He asks us to reciprocate by sending him 'Polish' jokes. He included a clipping from his Polish newspaper which makes reference to Crofton Online! You should definitely check this out.

What Else Is New This Month
The Crofton Kiwanis Foundation is sponsoring a 50-50 raffle with a guaranteed minimum prize of $1000.00. The drawing will be April 14 and you don't have to be present to win. Financially, the Foundation is completely separate from the Crofton Kiwanis Club. This assures that every penny raised by the raffle goes to charity. Click here for details about this very worthwhile community effort.

Crofton resident Judy Alto owns a local design firm called "One Day Interior Makeovers" that has achieved national recognition! Click here for details, including a link to her well-designed web page. Check it out.

Beverly Townsend provides quality day care services to our community. She has developed a web page with details. Click here to check it out.

Crofton's Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church continues to offer a wide range of services and activities. Click here for the latest information.

Betsy Smylie died on January 2. Read how the Internet was used by hundreds of individuals to communicate and to share their loss, in Death on the Internet."

For a limited time only, we are continuing our offer of a FREE CD-ROM containing everything we published so far in Crofton Online. In addition, the CD-ROM contains audio and video clips not available anywhere else, including a tribute to Rev. Betsy Smylie called "Remembering Betsy" and "GOP Voices," a collection of comments from Republican leaders. Please note that if you have already requested the CD-ROM but not rreceived it yet, there is no need to request it again. Response has been overwhelming but we will catch up soon.
