Secret Republican Plan Revealed: Impeach Clinton And Gore, Giving Us President Gingrich

Rush To Judgement Planned Before Voters Go To Polls

A number of congressional Republicans are proposing a shift in tactics due to the continuing refusal of the American people to go along with their end run around the electoral process. Since they can't win at the polls, some have proposed shortening the impeachment process and rushing it through before the November elections give Americans the opportunity to vote them out of office.

The key part of this strategy will be to then quickly impeach Vice President Al Gore before he has a chance to appoint a new vice president. Under the constitution, the new appointed vice president has to be ratified by the Senate, which at present is controlled by the Republicans.

Once Vice President Gore is impeached, Newt Gingrich would become President, allowing the Republicans to ram through their extremist agenda without having to face the voters first. Since Republicans currently control both houses of Congress and enjoy the support of the nation's tabloid press, there would be nothing to stop them from voting new tax cuts for the rich or from funneling huge amounts of tax dollars to defense contractors.

The national debt was tripled during the Reagan years. Under the Clinton presidency, fiscal responsibility has been restored, and we are now seeing a budget surplus for the first time in a generation. The Republicans, if given the opportunity, could quickly undo this in a matter of weeks, as they pass out tax dollars to their rich friends.

The attacks on the Vice President have already begun. Republicans have stopped every campaign finance reform bill from even making it to the floor of the House or Senate, but they have no problem in hypocritically criticizing Mr. Gore for raising funds needed to survive politically under the current, corrupt campaign finance system.

Look for these attacks on the Vice President to increase in the coming weeks.
